We went to Big Horn National Forest this week and spent the day. It is really a beautiful drive through the mountains. The peak elevations are over 13,000 ft. We also went to Big Horn Lake and the dogs were able to play in the water a bit.

I am including a photo below of an old, tiny schoolhouse from mid 1800’s. It was at the base of the Big Horn Mountains. It is by itself in the middle of large fields. An outhouse sat nearby. It made us think and wonder about the children that went to school here and how far they had to walk back and forth each day. Our history is quite amazing.
