We spent an afternoon browsing around Custer and taking in the sights. This is another small South Dakota town with lots of history. We went to the Custer County 1881 Courthouse, which is a museum now. We toured the grounds which had some historical buildings and equipment. There was an old section of Pickett fence leaning up against a wall that had a sign in it that said it was used in the movie Dances With Wolves. 😜
The downtown has an artist decorated bison on each corner. I couldn’t resist taking photos with them. There is also a monument with a small park dedicated to Horace Ross, the first discoverer of gold in The Black Hills.
We hope you all have a wonderful week. Lots of love to you all! 💗
