Medora, ND, is packed with fun history and we spent some time exploring it. It is at the entrance to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and has some original buildings with interesting stories. It was a pleasant surprise to find reader boards around the town, so that you knew what you were looking at. Fun! 😊 There is also horse and carriage tours of the town and buildings which, sadly, we didn’t have time to do on this visit.
I’m not sure if everyone knows that Teddy Bears are named after Teddy Roosevelt. Medora has the first original Teddy Bear Store. 😬
The North Dakota Cowboy Hall Of Fame is also here. Medora was a stopover for many cowboys on their travels, and a few famous ones stayed on and called Medora home.
We hope you have a great weekend! We are off to Montana! 😬
