Mount Rushmore was a bucket list item for both Jeff and myself. It was so amazing in person and there are not really words to describe how it makes you feel. I can say that it made me feel more patriotic (if that is even possible), and proud to be an American. God Bless America! šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

The monument is located in the Black Hills, which are beautiful on their own. Then you start getting glimpses of Mount Rushmore through the trees and rocks. It’s almost as though they planned exactly the spot for it, because of the way it is framed in nature. There are many narrow, one-way, rock tunnels on the drive and as we drive through one, we could see the monument directly through the end of the tunnel. Wow! 😬

Hugs and kisses to you all. šŸ’—šŸ’—
