Happy Saturday! Don’t forget to set your clocks back tomorrow! 😬

This week we went to a large scale desert art installation called Seven Magic Mountains by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. It sits in the desert 10 miles south of Las Vegas. It was completed in May 2016 on BLM land (Bureau Of Land Management) and was given a 2 year lease. It was so popular and heavily trafficked, that the land lease was renewed for another 3 years and expires next month, December 2021. I am curious to find out if it will remain here, as it should, or be moved or taken apart.

This was just a beautiful and cheerful display of art and I loved it! The installment consists of 7 pillars of brightly neon painted boulders. The columns are between 30 and 35 feet tall and the boulders weight about 40,000 pounds! You could see it from about 2 miles away! The artist‘s inspiration was human presence in the desert. ☀️

This was one of those roadside oddities that you see and say Wow! 👍🏻😬

We hope you are all well and send our love. 💗
