Simply Beautiful! What amazing views at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Badlands! We drove a 36 mile scenic route around the park and saw bison and thousands of prairie dogs. 😬 The park was named after Theodore Roosevelt because it was his hunting grounds and favorite place to spend time. His original cabin is still here and can be toured and there is a monument to him at the entrance. There is a coal vein fire burning underground that they are containing in one area by constant watering and you can smell the distinct smell of the coal there.
We are enjoying our time here in North Dakota and can hardly believe it’s September already! This summer has been a whirlwind of travel for us and the time of our lives! 😊 We give it 2 👍🏻👍🏻. This is also our 12th week living in our 5th wheel full time. 😳 Yay!!!
With Labor Day weekend coming up, we want to say thank you to all the veterans and current military who have fought for our freedom so that we can all enjoy this beautiful country. God bless. 🇺🇸💗
