Good morning! ☀️☀️ It is sunny and 73 degrees here today and we are enjoying the great outdoors.
Yesterday we went back to the Red Cliffs Conservation Area in Hurricane, UT and hiked the White Reef Trail. It was 3.4 miles roundtrip and we ended up walking 5.1 miles per our pedometers on our phone. We started in White Reef and somehow ended up on another trail. 😳😳 I will say that as amazing as the hikes and viewpoints are in Utah, the state does not do a very good job at marking them! They do not have regular trail markers and it is easy to get off course in the middle of the desert when the ground is either hard as rock and cracked or soft sand. 😂😂 Needless to say, we got off trail somewhere yesterday and walked a little extra. But, it’s all good! The hike went along a ridge line that had views for miles. Along the way we saw tiny lizards, cool rocks, a movie set from 1958 (Road To Codura which starred Gary Cooper and Rita Hayworth), an abandoned mine shaft, among other cool things. We always have so much fun exploring!
