Hi and we hope you are all having a great weekend! We have been in Zion National Park all week and having a great time! đ We did have a day of nasty weather that included pounding rain and wind, but we survived it, and are now enjoying sunny weather in the 70âs. âď¸ We are in a tiny town called Virgin on the Virgin River just inside the National Park. There is not much here except for beautiful views in every direction. đ There is a fun little âtourist trapâ just down the road that we ventured into the other day. We drove by it and they have a big sign that reads âhomemade ice cream and cones.â As soon as Jeff saw this, it was over and we were pulling in. This boy loves his ice cream, which incidentally, is the only thing that doesnât work in the RV lifestyle. For some reason it always stays soft in the freezer! Bummer! So, ice cream has become a huge treat for us and we try to stop for some now and again. đđť
So, this place is a trading post and has a large store with Indian jewelry, art, Knick-knacks, foods, etc. They also sell Zion shirts and souvenirs. There is an ice cream shop and they had delicious ice cream and, yes, homemade waffle cones! Jeff had toasted coconut and I had chocolate peanut butter cup. đŹđŹ
They have a miniature western town that is for photo ops, which we took advantage of. The funnest part was the petting zoo! They sell carrots 3 for $1. We got the carrots and fed the llamas, goats, rams, mini ponies, and a 34 year old mini donkey, which Jeff calls affectionately âThe Assâ the entire time. đđ
All-in-all, a fun outing! Take care! đđ
